Heather’s story: “They think they are being complimentary.”

There is a group of (some of the members change, but they are almost always there) that hang out outside a dingy bar in downtown Dartmouth. Almost every time I walked past, they would make comments about my breasts (“rack”) or ass. I used to confront them, but they think they are being complimentary, seemed to enjoy getting attention when I confronted them, and were always drunk/stoned, so I doubt they understood much anyway. I no longer walk up Portland Street on my way between work and home on lunch breaks or after work.
